Hello beautiful people! Hope you are not facing your regular Monday Blues. Well, if at all you are, I have just curated the right post for you. If you are following me on Instagram, you already know that I simply love food and I have been recommending hell lot of food places to you guys.
So, you guys are guessing it right! I am back with a completely new post on a completely new restaurant. Old School Eatery- located in the heart of Vadodara, this hotel has classic interiors and make you nostalgic about your school times.
The eatery has tables where you can write with chalk and duster. It even has an outdoor seating area. The place has positive vibes and they serve really great food.
I was there with a few friends and we basically started with their Cheese Naan Platter. It is served with pickle, coriander chutney and Dal Makhani. They serve the best Dal Makhani in town. The naan is rightly cooked and is oozing with flavours of cheese.
We also ordered the Paneer Kulcha with mix vegetables which was also served with Dal Makhani, pickle and coriander chutney. The naan was again crispy enough and the flavors inside were delicious. The stuffed kulcha platter has different fillings to choose from.
After which we tried two different varieties of Pizzas. One was the Vendure Exotica and the other was Quattro Formaggio Os which was made of four different types of cheese. The crust was roasted well and all the pizzas are thin crust there. I am a big fan of thin crust base and I simply loved the pizza there. Ii had also ordered the Lemon Iced Tea which was perfectly blended with proper amount of flavors and sugar. It was a delight to have in such hot weather.
The next thing was Italian Cheese Naan which has two different types of cheese and bell peppers in it and was served with a dip. This particular dish is a delight for cheese lovers.
I also hogged on the Masala Khichdi. I must just take a pause and appreciate the effort this restaurant has taken to curate their menu with traditional home cooked meals, Indian dishes with a perfect blend of Western cuisines. I was overjoyed to try the Masala Khichdi because it has rice and lentils and tadka and that is love for me.
Fun Fact about me- If I had to survive my whole life on one dish it has to be the Masala Khichdi from Old school Eatery and (who am I kidding – also Pizza)
The last dish that I tried was the Dal Baati Marwadi Platter which was really amazing. If you are fan of the great baatis which are roasted to perfection and dipped in ghee cooked with delicious lentils gravy, then you need to try this platter from Old School Eatery.
Life is uncertain so have your desserts first. This is so true, if you are sharing the Jalebi, Chocolate Inside Out and Tiramisu from Old School with your friends. The Jalebi was crispy and well cooked.
Their Chocolate Inside Out is a treat for chocolate lovers. It is made of white chocolate, chocolate and ice cream. The flavors were oozing in my mouth and I can go there again and again, just for this particular dessert. The Tiramisu was served in a glass and trust me on this, it is the best that I have had. The white chocolate, the coffee flavor and the cake was yummy and delicious.
The staff was very cordial and amiable. Their service is really good and it was a pleasure to meet the owners of the place. All in all it is a great place to plan a celebration or to just chill with friends or simply dine out with good food experience.
I strongly recommend the Cheese Naan Platter, Masala Khichdi, Tiramisu and Chocolate Inside out.
